Account information: CoJourney uses Clerk for authentication. When you create or use an account, we may receive information such as your email address, user identifier, name, and authentication status.

Profile information: CoJourney stores the profile information you provide, including your display name and handle.

Memory content: CoJourney stores the memories you create, including text, photos, visibility setting, timestamps, and related metadata.

Friend and sharing information: CoJourney stores friend requests, friendships, shared-memory relationships, and notifications so the app can show updates to the people you choose to connect with.

Device token information: If you allow notifications, CoJourney stores an Apple Push Notification service device token so we can send push notifications about relevant app activity.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Create and manage your account
• Save and display your memories
• Share memories with friends when you choose to share them
• Let users find each other by handle
• Send in-app notifications and push notifications
• Maintain, secure, and improve the app

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information to track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Sharing

Your private memories are intended to be visible only to you.

When you choose to share a memory with friends, that memory may be visible to users connected to you in CoJourney. Do not share content that you do not want those users to see.

We use service providers to operate the app, including:

• Clerk for authentication
• Convex for backend services, database, file storage, and app functions
• Apple Push Notification service for push notification delivery

These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to CoJourney.

Data Retention

We keep account, profile, memory, friend, notification, and device-token information for as long as needed to provide the app, unless you request deletion or the information is no longer needed.

Your Choices

You can:

• Choose whether a memory is private or shared with friends
• Decline notification permission in iOS
• Change notification permissions in iOS Settings
• Sign out of the app
• Request account or data deletion by contacting us

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

CoJourney is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to CoJourney, contact us so we can review and delete it if appropriate.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, when appropriate, provide additional notice.
